- Grape must - 200 ml
- Cornstarch - 50 g
- Sugar - 100 g
- Water - 100 ml
- Walnuts, chopped - 50 g
- Almonds, sliced - 50 g
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Cornstarch for dusting - as needed
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine the grape must, sugar, and water over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little cold water to create a slurry.
- Once the grape mixture is simmering, slowly add the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped walnuts, sliced almonds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the mixture into a greased dish and spread it evenly. Let it cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours until completely set.
- Cut into squares and dust with cornstarch before serving.
