Ingredients

  • Grape must - 200 ml
  • Cornstarch - 50 g
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Walnuts, chopped - 50 g
  • Almonds, sliced - 50 g
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Cornstarch for dusting - as needed

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine the grape must, sugar, and water over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little cold water to create a slurry.
  3. Once the grape mixture is simmering, slowly add the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped walnuts, sliced almonds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased dish and spread it evenly. Let it cool to room temperature.
  7. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours until completely set.
