- All-purpose flour - 120 grams
- Cocoa powder - 30 grams
- Powdered sugar - 50 grams
- Plant-based butter - 60 grams, melted
- Almond milk - 100 ml
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dark chocolate (vegan) - 50 grams, chopped
- Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted plant-based butter, almond milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough in half and roll out one half to fit the bottom of a 20 cm (8-inch) pie dish.
- Place the rolled-out dough in the pie dish and press it down gently.
- In a small saucepan, melt the chopped dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the crust and sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top.
- Roll out the second half of the dough and place it on top of the chocolate filling.
- Seal the edges by crimping with a fork and cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is firm and slightly cracked.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
