Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 300 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Ouzo - 60 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  4. Pour in the ouzo and let it simmer for 2 minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
  5. Add the cherry tomatoes, salt, and pepper, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
