- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves - 3, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the scallops to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Sear for 2-3 minutes without moving, until they develop a golden crust.
- Flip the scallops and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the scallops are opaque and cooked through, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the scallops. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
