Ingredients

  • Kasseri cheese - 200 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Honey - 30 ml
  • Fresh lemon juice - 10 ml
  • Fresh mint leaves - for garnish
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Cut the Kasseri cheese into thick slices, about 1 cm each.
  2. Lightly sprinkle salt on both sides of the cheese slices.
  3. Dredge each cheese slice in all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess flour.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Add the floured cheese slices to the skillet and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the cheese from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Drizzle the fried cheese with honey and fresh lemon juice.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
