Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved - 200 grams
  • Ouzo - 50 ml
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  5. Pour in the ouzo, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
