- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- Cherry tomatoes, halved - 200 grams
- Ouzo - 50 ml
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Pour in the ouzo, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
