- Feta cheese - 200 grams
- Whole wheat flour - 50 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Cut the feta cheese into 1 cm thick slices and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a shallow plate, spread the whole wheat flour evenly.
- Dredge each slice of feta cheese in the flour, coating both sides, and shake off any excess flour.
- Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Once hot, add the floured feta slices to the skillet and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Remove the fried cheese from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- In a small bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- Serve the fried feta hot, topped with the tomato and parsley mixture, and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
