- Kefalotyri cheese - 200 grams
- All-purpose flour - 50 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh lemon - 1
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Slice the Kefalotyri cheese into 1 cm thick pieces.
- Lightly sprinkle salt on both sides of the cheese slices.
- Dredge each slice of cheese in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the floured cheese slices to the skillet.
- Fry the cheese for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the cheese from the skillet and place it on a plate.
- Drizzle honey over the hot cheese and sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
