Ingredients
- Chickpeas (cooked or canned) - 200 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 50 grams
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 30 grams
- Fresh dill (chopped) - 15 grams
- All-purpose flour - 30 grams
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil (for frying) - 100 ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas using a fork or a potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving some texture.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, dill, flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well until combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties, about 5 cm in diameter.

- Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve warm with a side of vegan tzatziki or your favorite dipping sauce.
