Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 400 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the pork belly cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated pork belly onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork belly is crispy on the outside and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
