- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate skillet or in the oven for a few minutes until soft.
- Once cooked, assemble the Pita Burger by placing a lamb patty in each warm pita.
- Top with cucumber slices, tomato slices, lettuce, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
- Fold the pita over the filling and serve immediately.
