- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, warm the water slightly and add olive oil, then pour this mixture into the flour mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- While the dough rises, prepare the tzatziki by mixing grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, and salt in a bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Once the dough has risen, preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll each into a flat circle, about 1 cm thick.
- Cook each pita in the preheated skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, until puffed and lightly browned.
- Serve the warm pita bread with chilled tzatziki on the side.
