Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 7 grams
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Hummus - 100 grams
  • Tzatziki - 100 grams
  • Baba Ganoush - 100 grams
  • Paprika - 1 gram (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley - a handful (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 250°C (482°F) and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten into discs about 1 cm thick.
  7. Carefully remove the hot baking sheet from the oven and place the pita discs on it. Bake for 5-7 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
  8. Remove the pita from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  9. Arrange the hummus, tzatziki, and baba ganoush in small bowls. Serve the warm pita bread alongside the dips, garnished with paprika and fresh parsley.
