Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Pistachios, shelled and chopped - 50 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Oregano, dried - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - 1/2 medium

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped pistachios, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger toppings by washing the lettuce leaves, slicing the tomato, and thinly slicing the red onion.
  5. Once the lamb patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place each lamb patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with tomato slices and red onion, and serve immediately.
