Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - 50 grams
  • Pine nuts - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Olive oil - 60 ml
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Spinach - 50 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a food processor, combine basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese. Blend until smooth to create the pesto sauce, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
  4. Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  5. Evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes and spinach leaves on top of the pesto.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the toppings.
  7. Transfer the pizza to a baking tray or pizza stone and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is slightly melted.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve warm.
