- Fresh or frozen peas - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional) - 20 grams, grated
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped red onion, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the peas to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are heated through.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
