Ingredients
- Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Fresh lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving) - 20 grams
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water and then drain the pasta.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic and olive oil, and toss to combine.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, and dill. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the pasta warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
