- Fava beans - 200 grams, shelled
- Pasta (orzo or small pasta) - 150 grams

- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional) - 30 grams, grated
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the shelled fava beans to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
- Add the cooked pasta to the fava beans along with the reserved pasta water and lemon juice. Toss everything together over low heat for 2-3 minutes until combined.
- Stir in the fresh dill, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
