- Pasta (whole wheat) - 150 grams
- Broccoli - 200 grams, cut into florets
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- In the last 3 minutes of pasta cooking time, add the broccoli florets to the pot.
- While the pasta and broccoli are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a cup of the pasta water. Add them to the skillet with the garlic oil.
- Toss everything together, adding lemon juice, and if needed, a little reserved pasta water to help combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese and chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and feta if desired.
