  • Olive oil - 30 milliliters (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Instant yeast - 5 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Garlic powder - 2 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives - 30 grams, pitted and halved
  • Fresh oregano - 5 grams, chopped
  • Fresh basil - 5 grams, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, salt, and garlic powder. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, divide it into two equal portions and roll each portion into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Transfer the flatbreads to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
