Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 120 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Sea salt - 5 grams
  • Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh basil - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and sliced
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and sea salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a 10-inch round pizza base.
  7. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped oregano, and chopped basil. Spread this mixture evenly over the pizza base.
  9. Top the pizza with halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and Kalamata olives. Season with black pepper.
  10. Drizzle a little extra olive oil on top if desired.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  12. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
