Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 120 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 30 ml
- Sea salt - 5 grams
- Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh basil - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and sliced
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and sea salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a 10-inch round pizza base.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped oregano, and chopped basil. Spread this mixture evenly over the pizza base.
- Top the pizza with halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and Kalamata olives. Season with black pepper.
- Drizzle a little extra olive oil on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
