Ingredients

  • sesame seeds - 100 grams
  • almonds (chopped) - 50 grams
  • agave syrup - 50 ml
  • orange zest - 1 teaspoon
  • cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • water - 50 ml

Steps

  1. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until golden and fragrant.
  2. Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the skillet and let them cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the toasted sesame seeds, chopped almonds, orange zest, and cinnamon powder.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine agave syrup and water, heating gently until well mixed.
  5. Pour the agave mixture over the nut and seed mixture, stirring until everything is well coated.
  6. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper and transfer the mixture into the dish, pressing it down firmly to form an even layer.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to set.
  8. Once set, cut into squares or bars and serve.
