  • Feta cheese, crumbled - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Tomato, sliced - 1
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - 1/4
  • Cucumber, grated - 1/2
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, crumbled feta cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties, approximately 2-3 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Toast the whole wheat burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on each bun, then top with sliced tomato, red onion, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
