Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Greek yogurt - 150 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Dill - 1 tablespoon, fresh, chopped
  • Water - 1/4 liter

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the lamb shoulder to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated lamb for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  4. While the lamb is cooking, prepare the cucumber salad by mixing diced cucumber, tomato, red onion, and feta cheese in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and a pinch of salt to make the tzatziki sauce.
  6. Once the lamb is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  7. Serve the sliced lamb on a plate alongside the cucumber salad and tzatziki sauce.
