Ingredients

  • Lamb chops - 4 pieces (about 250g)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Greek yogurt - 100g
  • Cucumber - 1/2, grated
  • Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt for tzatziki - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped oregano, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the lamb chops to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the lamb is marinating, prepare the tzatziki by mixing the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, chopped dill, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  4. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated lamb chops.
  5. Cook the lamb chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the lamb chops from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve the lamb chops with the tzatziki sauce and warm pita bread, if desired.
