Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Cucumber - 1/2, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and water in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more water if necessary.
- In another bowl, combine diced cucumber, tomato, and chopped parsley. Toss to mix well.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the grill pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the lamb burgers topped with the cucumber-tomato mixture and drizzled with tahini sauce.
