Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 1/2, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the lamb mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, about 2.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and water in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more water if necessary.
  5. In another bowl, combine diced cucumber, tomato, and chopped parsley. Toss to mix well.
  6. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the grill pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the lamb burgers topped with the cucumber-tomato mixture and drizzled with tahini sauce.
