Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce - 4 large leaves
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
  • Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
  • Sliced tomatoes - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped red onion, dried oregano, parsley, crumbled feta cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the serving plates with 2 large romaine lettuce leaves per serving.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, place each patty on the lettuce leaves. Top with tzatziki sauce, sliced cucumber, and sliced tomatoes.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Low Carb Greek Lamb Burgers!
