- Phyllo pastry sheets - 4 sheets
- Eggs - 2 large
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef or lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, Greek yogurt, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped parsley until well combined.
- Layer 2 sheets of phyllo pastry in a greased baking dish, brushing each layer with a little olive oil. Let the edges hang over the sides.
- Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly over the phyllo base.
- Pour the egg and cheese mixture over the meat layer, spreading it evenly.
- Fold the overhanging phyllo sheets over the filling, then layer the remaining 2 sheets on top, brushing each with olive oil.
- Cut a few slits in the top layer to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the phyllo is golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
