- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Cucumber, grated - 1/2 small
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced (for tzatziki) - 1 clove
- Salt (for tzatziki) - a pinch
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small oval meatballs, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the koftes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through.
- While the koftes are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
- Serve the koftes hot with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
