Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Cream cheese - 50 grams, softened
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground lamb or chicken - 200 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Tzatziki sauce - 4 tablespoons (for serving)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, shredded mozzarella, softened cream cheese, egg, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Press the dough into a greased 9-inch pie dish evenly across the bottom and up the sides. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  4. While the crust is baking, in a skillet over medium heat, add ground lamb or chicken, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the cooked meat mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Top with halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and crumbled feta cheese.
  7. Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the toppings are heated through.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with tzatziki sauce on the side.
