Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, diced
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into 2 burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Once the patties are done, let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each lamb burger on a large lettuce leaf, top with tzatziki sauce, sliced tomato, and red onion. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy.
