Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Cucumber - 50 grams, diced
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into 2 burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with salt to taste.
- Once the patties are done, let them rest for a few minutes.
- To assemble, place each lamb burger on a large lettuce leaf, top with tzatziki sauce, sliced tomato, and red onion. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy.
