Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150g
  • Cream cheese - 100g
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Psyllium husk powder - 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 tsp

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, psyllium husk powder, salt, oregano, and garlic powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the cream cheese in the microwave for about 30 seconds until soft.
  4. Add the melted cream cheese and eggs to the dry ingredients, and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a ring, ensuring the center hole is open.
  6. Place the rings on the prepared baking tray and brush the tops lightly with water.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the top of each ring.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the koulouri are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
