- Cauliflower rice - 400 grams
- Ground lamb or beef - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Crushed tomatoes - 200 grams
- Oregano, dried - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 50 grams
- Parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and ground lamb or beef to the skillet. Cook until the meat is browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- While the meat sauce is simmering, steam the cauliflower rice according to package instructions or until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the cauliflower rice is ready, add it to the meat sauce and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat everything through.
- Serve hot, topped with crumbled feta cheese and chopped parsley.
