- Ground lamb - 400 grams
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Red onion - 1/4, finely chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for serving)
- Sliced cucumber - 1/2, for garnish
- Sliced tomato - 1 medium, for garnish
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams, for serving
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, chopped oregano, chopped parsley, finely chopped red onion, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F) and are browned.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- To serve, place each lamb burger on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced cucumber and tomato, and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
