Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for serving)
  • Sliced cucumber - 1/2, for garnish
  • Sliced tomato - 1 medium, for garnish
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams, for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, chopped oregano, chopped parsley, finely chopped red onion, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F) and are browned.
  4. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  5. To serve, place each lamb burger on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced cucumber and tomato, and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
