Keftedes are traditional Greek meatballs that are flavorful and satisfying, perfect for a keto-friendly lunch. This recipe features ground meat combined with aromatic herbs and spices, served with a refreshing cucumber yogurt dip.

- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely grated
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Cucumber - 1/2 medium, grated
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste (for yogurt dip)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, almond flour, egg, minced garlic, grated onion, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 3-4 cm in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook the meatballs for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the yogurt dip by combining the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve the hot keftedes with the cucumber yogurt dip on the side.
