Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 300 grams
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, grated
  • Greek yogurt - 200 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt (for tzatziki) - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground lamb and beef with minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Knead well until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a kebab. Skewer them onto wooden or metal skewers.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, grill the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked.
  4. While the kebabs are grilling, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate until needed.
  5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  6. Serve the kebabs with warm pita bread and a generous side of tzatziki.
