- Ground lamb - 300 grams
- Ground beef - 200 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Cucumber - 1/2, grated
- Greek yogurt - 200 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt (for tzatziki) - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground lamb and beef with minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Knead well until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a kebab. Skewer them onto wooden or metal skewers.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, grill the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked.
- While the kebabs are grilling, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and salt. Mix well and refrigerate until needed.
- Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Serve the kebabs with warm pita bread and a generous side of tzatziki.
