Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped Kalamata olives, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and crumbled feta cheese. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate skillet or in the oven for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty inside the warmed pita. Top with sliced cucumber, tomato, red onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Kalamata Burger!
