- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Clean the king oyster mushrooms and cut them into rings, resembling calamari.
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, pour the plant-based milk.
- In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each mushroom ring first into the flour mixture, then into the plant-based milk, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated mushroom rings for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- For the dipping sauce, mix lemon juice, chopped dill, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
- Serve the fried mushroom rings hot with the lemon-dill dipping sauce.
