  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 50 ml (for frying)
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  3. Dip each calamari ring into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the almond flour mixture. Ensure an even coating.
  4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated calamari rings, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry the calamari for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fried calamari from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
