- Lemon juice - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 60 ml (1/4 cup)
- Black olives - 50 grams, pitted and chopped
- Fresh parsley - 10 grams, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Rinse and drain the canned chickpeas thoroughly.
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water until the desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and fold in the chopped black olives gently.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
- Serve with pita bread, veggie sticks, or crackers.
