Ingredients

  • Chickpeas - 200 grams, canned, drained and rinsed
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - as needed for consistency

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, ground cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth, adding water gradually until the desired consistency is reached.
  3. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and fold in the chopped Kalamata olives and parsley.
  4. Drizzle a little extra olive oil on top and garnish with additional olives and parsley if desired.
  5. Serve with fresh vegetables or pita bread for dipping.
