Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 400 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh dill - 15 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped parsley, dill, minced garlic, finely chopped red onion, crumbled feta cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 2 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have an internal temperature of 75°C.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  5. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by the turkey patty, tomato slices, and cucumber slices.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
