Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80/20) - 300 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Red onion - 1/4, finely chopped
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2, preferably whole wheat
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped parsley, chopped dill, minced garlic, chopped red onion, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
  5. Once the burgers are done, assemble them on the toasted buns by spreading a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the bottom half, placing the patty on top, and adding slices of tomato and cucumber.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
