Ingredients
- Ground beef (80/20) - 300 grams
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Red onion - 1/4, finely chopped
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2, preferably whole wheat
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped parsley, chopped dill, minced garlic, chopped red onion, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
- Once the burgers are done, assemble them on the toasted buns by spreading a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on the bottom half, placing the patty on top, and adding slices of tomato and cucumber.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
