Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Cucumber - 1/2, grated
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
- Tomato - 1, diced
- Bell pepper - 1/2, diced
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
Steps
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken breast to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken marinates, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, fresh dill, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
- While the chicken is cooking, prepare the Greek salad by combining diced tomato, diced bell pepper, and sliced red onion in a bowl. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
- Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
- To serve, place the grilled chicken on a plate, add a generous portion of the Greek salad, a side of tzatziki sauce, and warm pita bread.
