Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Cucumber - 1/2, grated
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, diced
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, diced
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breast to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the chicken marinates, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, fresh dill, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the Greek salad by combining diced tomato, diced bell pepper, and sliced red onion in a bowl. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
  7. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
  8. To serve, place the grilled chicken on a plate, add a generous portion of the Greek salad, a side of tzatziki sauce, and warm pita bread.
