  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Cucumber - 1/2, diced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce - 1 cup, shredded
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, ensuring they are evenly shaped.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, lemon juice, and chopped dill in a small bowl. Season with a pinch of salt and set aside.
  5. Warm the pita bread in a separate skillet or wrap in foil and place in the oven for a few minutes until soft.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty in each pita, then topping with tzatziki sauce, sliced tomato, red onion, and shredded lettuce.
