Ingredients
- Greek coffee - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 200 ml
- Almonds (sliced) - 30 grams
- Stevia or erythritol (optional) - to taste
- Cardamom (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Begin by measuring 200 ml of cold water and adding it to a small pot.
- Add 2 tablespoons of Greek coffee to the pot, and if desired, add 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom for extra flavor.
- Place the pot on the stovetop over medium heat and stir well to combine the coffee and water.
- Allow the coffee to heat slowly until it starts to froth, but do not let it boil over.
- As soon as it froths, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for about 30 seconds.
- Return the pot to heat and allow it to froth again, repeating this process 2-3 times to achieve a rich foam.
- While the coffee is brewing, toast 30 grams of sliced almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
- Once the coffee is ready, pour it into two small cups, leaving the grounds at the bottom of the pot.
- If desired, sweeten with stevia or erythritol to taste, and top each cup with the toasted almonds.
