Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, grated and drained
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Dill - 1 teaspoon, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - for serving
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber slices - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped red onion, crumbled feta cheese, dried oregano, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the chicken mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden color.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, lemon juice, chopped dill, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, assemble each burger on a lettuce leaf, topping with sliced tomato and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
  6. Garnish with cucumber slices and serve immediately.
