- Ground beef - 150 grams
- Ground lamb - 50 grams
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Gluten-free breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Crushed tomatoes - 200 grams
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the gluten-free pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, chopped parsley, chopped mint, minced garlic, chopped red onion, egg, gluten-free breadcrumbs, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 2-3 cm in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Return the meatballs to the skillet and cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Once the meatballs are cooked through, add the cooked gluten-free pasta to the skillet and gently toss to combine.
- Serve the pasta topped with crumbled feta cheese and a drizzle of lemon juice.
