Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 60 ml
  • Lemon - 1 medium, juiced and zested
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and mix in the lemon juice and lemon zest.
  3. In another shallow bowl, place the almond flour and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Dip each fish fillet first into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with almond flour, pressing lightly to adhere.
  6. Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove the fillets from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
