Ingredients

  • Kefalotyri cheese - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 60 ml
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Cut the Kefalotyri cheese into 1.5 cm thick slices.
  2. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Place the almond flour in another shallow bowl.
  4. Dip each slice of cheese first into the beaten egg, then coat it with almond flour, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot.
  6. Fry the breaded cheese slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the cheese from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot, drizzled with fresh lemon juice and garnished with chopped parsley.
